Sunday stroll #32 - Aldershvile Slotspark by Céline Hallas

Yesterday we said our goodbyes to vacation and sleeping in, but we did it in what seemed like the best weather throughout the summer.
This Sunday we went to explore Aldershvilde Slotspark by Bagsværd lake - and what a beautiful and peacefull plance. The kids played in the old castle ruin and we had a great walk in the park and by the lakeshore, playing with ducklings and ending our walk by a small boat bridge, where we enjoyed the late sun, befor drivning home again.

As we drove away the kids yelled "goodbye summer vacation, see you next year"

Sunday stroll #31 - Skovsø Naturpark by Céline Hallas

So on the last day of the grown ups vacation we wanted to find an evtra exciting place to go for our Sunday stroll. We asked Sienna what she wanted to see and she said a forest lake.

It turned out to be a bit tricky to find via google but we found a place called Skovsø Naturpark (forest lake nature park) so we headed that way.

The place was great, not a big area, but it had it all. It had a forest, a forest lake, a field, a small river and a golf course?!? The kids spent a long time exploring and relaxing by the little river and the bridges that led over the water, but we also found sweet wild raspberries and Sienna and Daniel built apartments for insects.

It was all the way in Slagelse and I am not sure I would drive all the way again to visit, but if I was near by I would definitely drop again.

Sunday stroll #29 - Fréjus by Céline Hallas

On a way to hot day in Fréjus, France - we waited for the clock to turn 7pm before going out for a Sunday stroll, but even though the sun was going down, the heat was still overwhelming.

We just wanted to go for a walk just outside town, so it wasn't a long walk. We have walk this trail many times befor - but it leads to a lawn where you can look out over the city as the sun sets behind the mountains and therefore a favorite destination.

The kids were fighting and hugging the hole way as only siblings can.

We found blackberry bushes and pomegranates and almond trees at the lawn and the kids had  fun trying to open the almonds. While the sun was setting we sat on the lawn and just relaxed - and we didn't return home before the dark was complet.
